Flying Objects=Broken Car

This week has not been the most pleasant week of my life. Despite that my phone decided to have a mental break down allowing me the honor of buying a new one, my car decided to bust up too. To Carlos (my car) defense his break down was not voluntary. Driving back up to school from my hometown something flew at me and poor Carlos on the freeway. Don't get me wrong I am counting my blessings that whatever it was didn't fly through my windshield and kill me, but paying the 970 dollar repair bill isn't sounding super fun. Thank goodness for "sisters" and their husbands, because without M and D I would be totally on my own and that car would never get fixed. Poor Carlos is all alone right now, probably shivering off in a corner somewhere-but even worse he has my peppermints in his jockey box. Ugh. I just can't get a break can I? ;) Anywho, my holiday was fabulous. I got a lot of cute new clothes (including the much desired red skinnies) and some nice jewelry. Including a very nice necklace from one handsome young man in Cali. He really shouldn't think of me, but I'm secretly glad he does. Oh! And over this break I learned how to ski. Now, if you know me, you know how much of an accomplishment this is. Think back to when I was a mere 13 years old. The horrifying experience I had of tubing down a hill at near 70 MPH only to come crash hurtling into a, maybe 3 feet in diameter, tree. The hospital trip there after, and the weeks of wheelchair, and the weeks after that of crutches, and the months after that of physical therapy, only to have to go back to the hospital to get all of the "gear" removed from my body. Breaking your femur=not fun, and hospitals=no privacy. So to attempt any form of winter sport involving going down a large hill is a great accomplishment for me. And to succeed at it is even greater!! But, the fact that I had fun doing it is a miracle. It was good though. Well folks I think that's all for now. Over and out. :)
